PSAC Relay Competition:
3-Time PSAC Place-Winner
2012 – 800 Free (7th)
2013 – 800 Free (6th)
2014 – 800 Free (6th)
2013-14 (Junior): Achieved his third straight PSAC place-winning performances in both the 200 butterfly and with the 800 freestyle relay during his third season with the team…also represented the Raiders in the 100, 200 and 500 freestyle at the conference championships…established a new personal best in the 100 butterfly at Ithaca.
2012-13 (Sophomore): Maintained his role as a scoring performer for the Raiders in his second season…posted consolation group place-winning performances in the 200 freestyle (12th), 500 freestyle (16th) and 200 butterfly (10th) at the conference championships and contributed to the sixth-place 800-yard freestyle relay…posted SU’s fastest 500 freestyle time of the season at PSAC prelims.
2011-12 (Freshman): Emerged as a valuable freestyle and butterfly swimmer for the Raiders in his debut season…achieved three PSAC place-winning performances as a rookie, including 12th-place turns in the 200 butterfly and the 500 freestyle…also placed in the 200 freestyle and with the 800 freestyle relay…served as the team’s pace-setter in both the 200 and 500 freestyle events.
Fleetwood High School: Swam for the Tigers in butterfly and freestyle events while being coached by his father…finished fourth at the PIAA championship meet in the 100 butterfly…achieved All-County honors…totaled four varsity letters…competed at the club level with BYNS under the guidance of Linda Jones.
About Mikitka: Full name is Jeffrey Paul Mikitka…is the son of Jeffrey and Karen Mikitka…majoring in exercise science while seeking a minor in coaching…has a sister, Jennifer, who competes in swimming and field hockey…parents Jeff and Karen are 1985 graduates of Shippensburg.
