2020-21 (Senior): Notched three scoring performances for the Raiders in his fourth season, working primarily as a freestyle swimmer…achieved three Top 10 efforts at the PSAC Championships, including a sixth-place finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle and ninth-place finishes in the 200-yard butterfly and the 1,000-yard freestyle…represented the Raiders in the 200-yard freestyle at the conference championships…ranked second among Raiders for the season in the 1,650-yard freestyle and the 200-yard butterfly…slotted among the team’s Top 5 swimmers in the 200-yard, 500-yard and 1,000-yard freestyle.
2019-20 (Junior): Affirmed his status as an distance freestyle swimmer in his third season…reached the ‘B’ finals of the 500-yard freestyle at the PSAC Championships, achieving a 11th-place finish…posted a 15th-place finish in the “mile” at the PSAC Championships…represented the Raiders in the 1,000-yard freestyle at the PSAC Championships…contributed to the fifth-place finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay at the PSAC Championships…recorded his season bests in the 500-yard freestyle and 1,000-yard freestyle at the PSAC Championships and in the “mile” at the Bomber Invitational…posted the team’s second-fastest times of the season in the 500-yard freestyle and the “mile.”
2018-19 (Sophomore): Maintained his role as a key distance freestyle swimmer for the Raiders in his second season…posted 10th-place finishes in the 500-yard freestyle and the 1,650-yard freestyle and an 11th-place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle at the PSAC Championships…represented the Raiders in the 400-yard IM at the conference meet…posted the team’s second-fastest times of the season in all three of the distance freestyle events with season bests achieved at the conference meet…ranked second among the team in the 200-yard butterfly with a best achieved at the Patriot Invitational.
2017-18 (Freshman): Made an immediate impact with the Raiders in his debut season by scoring in all four of his individual events at the PSAC Championships, specializing in distance freestyle swims…finished eighth in the 1,650-yard freestyle, 10th in the 1,000-yard freestyle, 13th in the 400-yard IM and 14th in the 500-yard freestyle at the PSAC Championships…achieved collegiate bests in the 1000 and 1650 freestyle at the conference meet…notched a season best in the 500 freestyle at the Patriot Invitational…contributed to a scoring effort in the 800-yard freestyle relay at the PSAC Championships…ranked second among Raiders for the season in the three longest freestyle events…cracked SU’s all-time Top 10 in the 100-yard IM during the regular season.
Urbana High School: Competed primarily for the Rockville/Montgomery Swim Club under club coach Bill Shechtman, specializing in distance freestyle events…posted national qualifying marks as a junior in the 1,000-yard and 1,650-yard freestyle…recognized three times as a PVS Scholar-Athlete…is a member of the National Honor Society…recorded PRs of 4:41.74 in the 500-yard freestyle, 9:37.93 in the 1,000-yard freestyle and 16:13.31 in the 1,650-yard freestyle.
About Zimmerman: Full name is Eric Stanley Zimmerman…is the son of Scott and Margaret Zimmerman…seeking his MBA after graduating magna cum laude in May 2021 with a degree in accounting and a minor in economics...has a sister, Kate, who swam at East Stroudsburg.
