SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University lacrosse team battled No. 10 East Stroudsburg close through one quarter before falling in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action Saturday at Robb Sports Complex, 20-6.

Shippensburg (4-4, 1-2 PSAC East) trailed East Stroudsburg (9-0, 4-0) by just a single goal, 3-2, after the first 15 minutes. The game was then decided in the second quarter in which the Warriors outscored the Raiders 11-0.

The Raiders led their nationally-ranked foes midway through the opening frame, 2-1, following back-to-back goals from Alexa Bailey and Maddie Phommachanh.

ESU responded with the first two of 13 consecutive tallies to finish the first quarter, and Warrior attacker Sadie Kauffman followed with five goals during ESU's big 11-goal second quarter barrage.

The 2025 First Team All-American finished with seven goals, outscoring the Raiders by herself and giving her 46 total goals in just nine games this season. She also contributed two assists, eight draw controls and three groundballs.

The Raiders regrouped following the Warriors' massive second quarter, playing the visitors even, 2-2, in the third quarter on goals from Olivia Glinski and Ali Pioli.

Without the 11-0 second quarter, the Raiders played the Warriors to a close 9-6 score.

Shippensburg nearly matched East Stroudsburg in terms of both overall shot attempts (32-to-31) and shots on goal (26-to-23).

Glinski totaled four points (three goals, one assist) and posted her first hat trick of the 2026 season.

Phommachanh notched a team-best four groundballs in addition to her first period goal. Brynn Hauck added a team-best four draw controls and three caused turnovers.

East Stroudsburg goalkeeper Abby Simonetti made a total of 17 saves.

SU goalie Izzy Sawicki stood tall against the ESU onslaught, contributing six stops.

Next up, Shippensburg travels to Shepherd Wednesday at 3 p.m.
