SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University men's soccer team dropped a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division contest to regional rival Shepherd Wednesday under the lights at David See Field, 2-0.
Shippensburg (2-5-4, 1-5-0 East) battled Shepherd (6-2-3, 2-2-2) evenly – the Raiders maintained a 5-to-2 edge in corner kicks and had just one less shot on goal (6-to-5) – but it was the Rams that were able to finish their chances in the setback.
Shepherd target man Harry Booth produced a headed goal off a Ram throw-in in the 28th minute, and Ebenezer Solomon got on the end of a Shepherd free kick for an 87th minute tally. Antonio Conte and Moulay El Yagouti were credited with the assists.
Braedon Johnson led the Raiders with two shots, including one on target.
SU goalkeeper
Ryan Krumenacker produced four saves.
The Raiders are back at David See Field Saturday when they host Lackawanna at 2 p.m.
