SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University redshirt-sophomore Tommy Crum, Jr. was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week on Tuesday afternoon by the league office.
 
Crum was the individual champion of the Dickinson "Short" Invitational Saturday and led the SU men's cross country team to a 1-2-3 finish and a perfect team score on a muggy afternoon at Big Spring High School.
 
After running in lockstep with Williamson's Chase Ely for the majority of the race, the Raider triumvirate of Crum, Garrett Quinan and Ryan Wolfe pulled away at the finish line.
 
Crum's victorious 4K time of 11:46.6 was just nine-tenths of a second ahead of teammate Quinan.
 
It is the second weekly cross country award of Crum's career (Oct. 1, 2024) and the second for the Raiders this season. Quinan previously won the award on Sept. 23
