Senior
Aryanna Briddell and junior

Game 1: SHIP 12, FROSTBURG 5
SU scored in its first three at-bats, including a four-run first inning, to build a quick 6-0 lead in the opener.
A leadoff triple by Lafferty, a hit-by-pitch of Bauman and a two-run double by Martell had the Raiders in the lead just three batters in. Ehrlacher homered two batters later to put SU up 4-0.
Martell added another RBI single in the second and Haser smoked an RBI triple in the third.
The game changed in the span of two pitches in the fifth inning. Frostburg loaded the bases with a single, an error and a two-out walk. Hanna Binek sent the first pitch she saw into right field for a two-run single, and then Zoey Marinello came to the plate and sent the first pitch over the center-field fence for a three-run homer. Just like that, the score was 6-5.
SU loaded the bases with two outs in the fifth, but a lineout ended the threat.
In the sixth, the Raiders also exploded with two outs – scoring six times. A two-run single by sophomore
Sarah Sabocsik (Hatfield, Pa./North Penn) extended the lead to three, and Briddell sat on an 0-2 pitch to crush her fifth home run of the season and make it 10-5.
The rally wasn't over, as Haser followed with a double and freshman
Grace Ciochetto blooped a single to bring her home, Ciochetto, who started in left field in Game 1, finished 2-for-3 with a walk.
Bauman, who began the bottom of the sixth with a single, hit another to plate Ciochetto and create the final 12-5 margin. Martell, Bauman and Haser each finished Game 1 with three hits.
Senior
Alicia Ball threw a complete game. She struck out seven while scattering six hits and four walks.
Game 2: SHIP 6, FROSTBURG 5
SU had four of its first five batters reach in the nightcap to take a quick 2-0 lead. Lafferty drew a four-pitch walk and immediately stole second base. A groundout moved her to third and Martell plated her on the first pitch of her at-bat with a single to left field.
Sophomore
Brie Wilmot then scalded the first pitch she saw in Game 2 for a double to center field that got Martell to third. Two pitches later, Sabocsik singled her home.
Shippensburg took a 3-0 lead in the second after a leadoff triple by Haser and a sacrifice fly by senior
Ally Weaver.
Frostburg's Arden Miller, the reigning National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division II Athlete of the Week, was held to just one hit and one walk in eight at-bats Wednesday. Her lone hit was a solo home run to lead off the fourth inning.
Miller was the final batter faced by sophomore
Madalyn Dyer, who finished with just two hits allowed while striking out two in three innings.
Junior
Kaira Zamadics kept the Bobcats off the board for the remainder of the fourth inning and put up another zero in the fifth before running into trouble in the sixth.
Another two-out rally for the Bobcats began with a pair of singles and a walk to load the bases. Pinch hitter Ashlynn Routzahn battled Zamadics and sent the seventh pitch of her at-bat off the wall in left field to tie the game at 3-3. FSU pitcher Ally Myers then helped her own cause by lacing the next pitch up the middle for a two-run single that gave the visitors a 5-3 lead.
Freshman
Dani Hayward entered the circle for Shippensburg and hit the first batter she faced but negotiated a lineout to bring the Raiders to the plate.
In the bottom of the sixth, a one-out single by Briddell and a double over the third-base bag by Haser put the tying runs in scoring position. Myers induced a comebacker for the second out but then walked Lafferty on four pitches to load the bases.
It was at that point Bauman hit the first pitch into right-center field, and the ball landed and sliced away from the outfielders – resulting in the decisive bases-clearing triple.
Hayward retired the side in the order in the top of the seventh to record her first collegiate victory in the circle.
Martell finished with three hits, bringing her season average to .548 (23-for-42) over the first 12 games of the season. She has had multiple hits in nine games this season, including six-in-a-row.
