Â
After an opening strikeout, Aria Reyes doubled to right center to get on base and scored on a Layla Albarran two-out single to right.

A two-out triple by junior
Caitlyn Martell got the Raiders close to tying the game in the bottom of the first, but a pop out ended the threat.
Â
The two teams opted for a defensive battle from that point, highlighted by the Raiders loading the bases twice, in the second and third innings, but failing to convert any into runs.
Â
Shippensburg, after using a late game comeback to win Game 2 Wednesday against Frostburg State, did so again in the final two frames. A first-pitch double from Sabocsik opened the bottom of the sixth, and Sabocsik scrambled to third on a flyout. Senior
Aryanna Briddell reached on a two-out error, which gave Sabocsik the opening to race home and tie the game at 1-1.
Â
After holding the Golden Falcons scoreless in the top of the seventh, Martell ignited a seventh-inning rally with a one out single to left field, and advanced to second after a Wilmot single.
Â
Senior
Ally Weaver entered the game to pinch run for Wilmot, and a single from Sabocsik advanced her to third, while Martell attempted to reach home but was tagged while sliding in for the second out.
Â
Erlacher made the out a moot point, lashing a single to right field to bring home Weaver for the game-winning score, 2-1.
Â
Senior
Alicia Ball threw a complete game. Ball struck out six while scattering five hits and did not give up a walk.

Game 2: SHIP 10, FELICIAN 6
Â
Shippensburg opened Game 2 by getting the first run. Lafferty singled up the middle and stole second base. A Sabocsik two-out double to left field brought her home for the 1-0 lead.
Â
The top of the second inning saw the bats spark for Felician, scoring four runs. Kailyn Engles singled to right field, advancing to second on a groundout. A walk from Kailey Alas put two Golen Falcons on base. Kylie Sharapan then singled up the middle and advanced to second on the throw, giving pinch runner Ava Rivera time to reach home to tie the game at one run apiece.
Â
Sienna Meli reached on an error that advanced Sharapan to third and allowed Alas to score the go ahead run. Meli then stole second to put two Felician players in scoring position, and Julianna Saint Hillaire cleared the bases with a two-run double that gave the visitors a 4-1 lead.
Â
The Raiders answered with one run in the bottom of the second, starting with an Erlacher single up the middle. A single from junior
Lindsey Haser advanced Erlacher to second, before a fielder's choice advanced both to second and third. Lafferty singled to the pitcher to bring home Ehrlacher to cut the deficit to 4-2.
Â
In the bottom of the third, Wilmot launched the second pitch she faced over the center field fence for a solo home run, her third of the season, to cut the lead to one.
Â
The Golden Falcons scored another run in the top of the fourth, courtesy of a Meli RBI double.
Â
The bottom of the fourth inning saw the Raiders score five runs on four hits. The inning opened with Briddell reaching first on an error, with sophomore
Ryan Morse entering as a pinch runner. Freshman
Gianna Cimino earned a walk before both base runners advanced into scoring position.
Â
Sophomore
Reagan Bauman struck out swinging, but a wild pitch let her reach first while Cimino advanced to third and Morse scored. Martell later doubled down the left field line to drive in Cimino.
Â
Sabocsik followed with a single to bring Bauman across. The rally was capped with a Wilmot double to left field that brought home Sabocsik and Martell, giving the Raiders an 8-5 lead after four innings.
