SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University redshirt-sophomore linebacker
Nate Myers was named Thursday to the 2025 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Super Region 1 Second Team as voted on by the region's sports information directors.
Myers becomes Shippensburg's first All-Region selection since Redd Douglas (First Team return specialist) and Matt Feeney (Second Team linebacker) following the 2022 season.
A 2025 All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) linebacker, Myers ranked third in the conference with 14.5 tackles for loss and fourth with 102 total tackles in his first year as a full-time starter. He also finished Top 10 in the PSAC in total interceptions (3).
Myers recorded nine or more tackles in eight outings, twice posting a season-high 13 stops. His most impressive performance came Week 10 against West Chester. In that game, Myers recorded 11 tackles, including one tackle for loss, and contributed a pair of interceptions in a 43-14 Raider victory.
The redshirt-sophomore's total tackles and tackles for loss are the most for a Raider since Feeney in 2022.
Virginia Union running back Curtis Allen, a 2,281-yard rusher in 2025, was tabbed 2025 Super Region 1 Offensive Player of the Year. Franklin Pierce linebacker Geno Facchetti (nine sacks, 15.5 tackles for loss) was named 2025 SR1 Defensive Player of the Year.
Of the 52 players selected to the 2025 D2CCA All-Super Region 1 Teams, 26 were from the PSAC, nine from the CIAA, nine from the NE-10 and eight from the MEC.
