SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University volleyball team will host Pitt-Johnstown at 7 p.m. Tuesday in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship Quarterfinal matchup at Heiges Field House.
Shippensburg (20-8), the Eastern Division No. 2 seed, will be facing Pitt-Johnstown (16-10), the Western Division No. 3 seed, for the second time this season. The Raiders won the first regular-season matchup in four sets at a neutral site on Sept. 13.
Shippensburg is in the PSAC Tournament for the 18th time in 21 seasons under head coach
Leanne Piscotty.
The last PSAC Tournament matchup between the teams was in 2017. In that meeting, the Mountain Cats swept the Raiders at the Sports Center.
Tuesday will mark the 38th meeting between the two programs, with Shippensburg holding a 27-10 series advantage.
The winner of Tuesday's quarterfinal will advance to a Friday night semifinal against the winner of Western Division No. 1 seed Gannon vs. Eastern Division No. 4 seed West Chester.
The highest remaining Eastern Division seed will host the PSAC Semifinals and the PSAC Championship match.
