SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University men's soccer team left it all on the field Saturday evening but ultimately fell to East Stroudsburg in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action on Senior Day at David See Field, 2-0.

Shippensburg (3-8-4, 0-6-3) matched East Stroudsburg (9-6-2, 5-3-1) with 11 total shots and absorbed 13 ESU fouls. Warrior striker Owen Rennie was the difference, tallying a pair of goals for the visitors inside the opening 25 minutes.

Rennie gave ESU the lead just three minutes after the opening whistle. A long diagonal ball onto the feet of winger Ethan Flickinger unlocked the SU defense. Flickinger then delivered a square ball to an unmarked Rennie for an easy tap in at the far post.

An attempted back pass turned into a catastrophe for the Raiders in the twenty minutes later. Goalkeeper Ryan Krumenacker was forced to come off his line in an attempt to retrieve the pass and fouled ESU's Jace Seara in the process, resulting in a penalty.

Rennie converted the PK for his second tally of the contest and seventh of the season to make it a 2-0 game.

The Raiders' persistence in search of goal nearly paid off in the 77th minute. A slip by ESU goalkeeper Phil Sykes led to a giveaway in front of goal. Senior midfielder Darius Bamfo gathered the loose ball and with the keeper already beaten smashed a left-footed shot from a near-impossible angle off the inside of the far post, just millimeters from drawing SU closer before it was cleared from danger.

Krumenacker made four stops in the SU net, notably an all-out diving stop to turn aside a Rennie free kick with ten minutes left.

Shippensburg recognized its three seniors prior to the start of Saturday's match: Bamfo, Luke Kramer and Ethan Paulukow.

The Raiders will conclude their 2025 season with a road match Thursday at West Chester. Kick-off from Rockwell Field is set for 1 p.m.
