RECAP: Men’s Soccer earns draw at No. 13 Bloomsburg, 0-0

Raiders pick up a point in second straight conference match

The Shippensburg University men's soccer team earned a conference point Wednesday at No. 13 Bloomsburg, playing even with the Huskies in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup at Steph Pettit Stadium. The result was a 0-0 draw.

Shippensburg (3-5-4, 0-3-3) and Bloomsburg (6-0-6, 2-0-4) combined for just four shots on goal – three of which were recorded in the first half. Ryan Krumenacker and Peter Punchello each made two saves for their respective teams.

Some of the better chances came in the bookends of the first half. Barely two minutes in, Ethan Paulukow sent a shot toward the lower right portion of the net that Punchello dove to collect. Bloomsburg's Owen Hollobaugh rang a free kick off the right post in the 11th minute.

With two minutes left in the first half, Krumenacker made a save with his legs on an attempt from close range that kept the match scoreless.

Both matches between the two teams this season resulted in a 0-0 draw. It was the fourth shutout of the season for the Raiders.

Shippensburg returns to action at 1 p.m. Saturday at Millersville.
