The Shippensburg University women's soccer team fell behind early on Saturday as it dropped a 4-0 decision at No. 24 West Chester in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match held at Rockwell Field.
 
Shippensburg (2-6-3, 1-6-3 PSAC East) yielded a goal just 73 seconds in and trailed 3-0 in the 26th minute. West Chester (8-1-3, 6-1-3) got a pair of goals from Faith Matter during the opening flurry.
 
Overall, the hosts finished with a 14-1 advantage in shots on goal and did not allow a corner kick.
 
Kirstin Brown made seven saves in 64 minutes of action. In relief, Hannah Cline recorded three saves.
 
Saturday marked the beginning of the second half of the divisional slate for the Raiders. The two teams played to a scoreless draw at David See Field back on Sept. 6.
 
Shippensburg hosts Mansfield at 4 p.m. Wednesday at David See Field.
