SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University libero Shay Kolivoski was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Defensive Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon by the league office.
 
Kolivoski, the PSAC's leader in total digs, totaled 56 in a 3-0 week for the Raiders that included home sweeps of Chestnut Hill and ESU and a five-set win over Kutztown that has Shippensburg atop the PSAC East standings.
 
She averaged 5.09 digs per set, totaled 12 assists and served one ace. She handled 43 of 45 reception attempts. Against Kutztown, Kolivoski matched her career high with 29 digs; she also passed out eight assists.
 
Kolivoski is currently ranked fourth in the nation in total digs with 400.
 
This marks the fourth time this season that Kolivoski has been honored with the PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week award, having previously been honored on Sept. 29, Sept. 22 and Sept. 8. It is the sixth weekly award of Kolivoski's career.
