SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University volleyball team swept East Stroudsburg on Friday night at Heiges Field House to stay undefeated in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division. Set scores were 25-16, 25-18, 25-20.

Shippensburg (12-6, 4-0 PSAC East) recorded 39 kills, hitting .271 from the floor. East Stroudsburg (12-5, 2-1) delivered 28 kills with a .098 hitting percentage. The Raiders recorded 10 aces to the Warriors five. The Warriors out-blocked the Raiders five to two.

The SU offense was led by
Gracen Nutt who recorded a match-high 11 kills with a .458 hitting percentage. Nutt committed zero errors on 24 swings. She added five digs and an ace.

Elise Bragg added eight kills for the Raiders with a .214 hitting percentage. Bragg recorded a match-high three aces and 11 digs.

Kearstin Davis dished out 32 assists and tacked on two aces, 11 digs and a kill.
Shay Kolivoski led the defense with 14 digs and tallied three assists.
Berkley Simmons equaled Bragg with three aces and had ten digs.

The Raiders saw their first lead of more than two points after a 3-0 run, 9-5. A kill from Nutt and a Bragg ace increased the lead to 12-7. Davis recorded an ace to complete a 4-0 run, 17-10. An attack error from the Warriors put SU at set point, 24-15. Nutt delivered a kill to end the set, 25-16.

After exchanging one-point leads, ESU went on a 3-0 run, 7-5. A kill from
Isabelle Bombas and a Bragg ace tied the second set at seven. The Warriors completed a 5-2 scoring stretch to regain the lead, 12-9. With Nutt on the service line, the Raiders completed a 7-0 run that featured an ace, 16-12. An ace from
Sophia Barrera and a Warrior error kept the Raiders in the lead, 18-14. Bragg notched a kill that sparked a 4-0 run, 23-16. Nutt recorded a kill to put the Raiders at set point, 24-18. An error from ESU gave SU a 2-0 advantage.

The Raiders carried the momentum to the third set and completed an early 4-0 run, 4-2. Two ESU errors and a kill from Bombas increased the SU lead, 7-4. The Raiders recorded a 5-1 scoring stretch that included kills from
Clara Wildermuth and Bragg, 12-6. The Warriors responded with a 7-1 scoring stretch to take over the lead, 15-14. SU responded with a 5-0 run to retake the lead, 19-15. Nutt delivered a kill to put the Raiders at match point, 24-19.
Hailey Cappleman closed the match with a kill, 25-20.

The Warriors were led by Anna Coulter, who recorded nine kills with a .261 hitting percentage. Coulter added an ace, two solo blocks, three block assists and five digs. Kata Kovacs dished out 20 assists and tallied an ace and four digs. The ESU defense was led by Marta Leeland, who recorded a match-high 17 digs.

Shippensburg remains home Saturday to take on Kutztown at 2:30 p.m. at Heiges Field House.
