SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University men's soccer team dropped a 5-1 decision to Slippery Rock on Saturday in hard-fought non-conference match at David See Field.
 
Shippensburg (1-3-0) was outshot by Slippery Rock (2-1-1) 24-to-7, with a 13-to-3 difference of shots on goal.
 
Aaron Finney secured The Rock's first goal in the seventh minute of play, followed by Luke Gildea's goal in the 29th minute. SRU went on to score three more goals in the second half.
 
Freshman Kyle Ganley scored his first collegiate goal with a shot to the upper right corner 76 minutes into the game. Sophomore Luca Huesser passed it to Ganley for the assist.
 
Sophomore keeper Ryan Krumenacker had eight saves.
 
The Raiders will host West Chester at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
