SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's tennis team begins the 2024-25 season this week with a road match at California (Pa.) tomorrow and a home match on Saturday against Messiah.

The Raiders will play six total matches during the fall season. Next week, SU will be on the road against Clarion. Following that match, SU will host back-to-back home matches on Sept. 25 and Sept. 28. The Raiders will finish their fall play on the road on Oct. 2 against Bryn Mawr.

Shippensburg enters the 2024 season with 11 players, its largest roster in several seasons. SU returns seven from its 2023-24 roster. Senior
Yasmin De Meyer and sophomore
Ava Kalist have joined the team for the 2024-25 season along with two first-year recruits.

Three players are operating as seniors in 2024:
Brooklynn Rupert and
Kendall Winters, along with De Meyer – who is expected to join the team in the spring after the conclusion of the field hockey season.

From an athletic eligibility perspective, the team has two seniors, two juniors, three sophomores and four freshmen.

Dylan Curtis will return for his second season as Shippensburg University's head coach after taking over during the spring 2024 campaign. Volunteer assistant
John Hubert will assist the Raiders for the third season.
