The Shippensburg University women's basketball team fell at East Stroudsburg in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup, 72-60, on Saturday afternoon at Koehler Fieldhouse.
 
Shippensburg (3-14, 2-9 PSAC East) and East Stroudsburg (5-10, 3-7) were tied at 38-38 with just over four minutes remaining in the third quarter before a 15-4 scoring run by the Warriors gave them a 53-42 lead heading into the fourth quarter. An 8-0 run by the Warriors to start the fourth quarter put the game out of reach.
 
Graduate 
Treasure George had 21 points to lead all scorers in the game. This was her second consecutive game reaching the 20-point mark and her sixth time this season. George was 6-of-15 from the field and 7-of-8 from the free-throw line with five rebounds.
 
Freshman 
Bella Chimienti scored 16 points for the Raiders with three rebounds. Freshman 
Mia Johnson scored eight points and set career-highs with nine rebounds and three steals.
 
East Stroudsburg shot 49.2 percent from the field on the day. Gwenn Sabato paced the home team with 17 points off the bench, making 4-of-9 from three-point range. Emily Chmiel had a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds, shot 8-of-12 from the field, and blocked five shots.
 
The Warriors scored 44 points in the paint and 17 points off turnovers. Shippensburg shot 31.6 percent from the field and was 6-of-21 from behind the arc. ESU outrebounded the Raiders 39-32.
 
SU will host West Chester at 6 p.m. Saturday at Heiges Field House.
