The Shippensburg University women's soccer team dropped a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern division match at East Stroudsburg, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
Shippensburg (1-8-0, 1-6-0 PSAC East) held a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks in the match, all coming in the second half. Junior
Morgan Molyneaux tallied seven saves in the game.
East Stroudsburg (7-1-1, 5-1-1) scored a goal in each half, both coming from Carina Gasparini. Her first goal was in the 28th minute, receiving the ball after a pass from Maddie Root, before shooting the ball into the bottom right corner of the net. Her second goal came in the 70th minute after stealing possession and striking it into the bottom center of the net.
The Raiders will host Bloomsburg at 6 p.m. Wednesday at David See Field.
