Shippensburg University Athletics mourns the loss of Bill Cockley '53, a former Raider football and baseball player. SU extends its condolences to his family and friends.
 
Cockley was a part of the inaugural Shippensburg University Athletics Hall of Fame class in 1986. He was an integral guard on the teams under legendary coach Vinton Rambo, including on the undefeated 1952 team. He was an All-Pennsylvania Conference (PC) performer who was selected to play in the Blue-Gray Game.
