SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's soccer team lost Sunday to Saint Michael's 2-0 in a non-conference match at David See Field.
 
Shippensburg (0-3-0) tallied five corner kicks and three shots on goal but was unable to score as the Purple Knights' defense registered three saves.
 
Saint Michael's (2-0-2) began the match with a goal scored by Cassie Tofteroo at the ten-minute mark. The Purple Knights would add to their lead in the final four minutes of play from a Kayleigh Crowell goal.
 
The two teams combined for just seven shots on goal. SU tallied five corner kicks while only allowing one to the Purple Knights. Senior Kendra Barlow made two saves for the Raiders.
 
Shippensburg will now compete in conference play for the rest of the season, starting with a three-game road trip beginning Wednesday. The Raiders visit Lock Haven at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
