The Shippensburg University lacrosse team could not hang on as it fell to No.13 East Stroudsburg, 17-8, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern division contest Saturday afternoon at Whitenight Field.
Shippensburg (2-14,1-10 PSAC) had its only lead late in the first quarter with a goal from freshman
Ali Pioli. The Raiders trailed by four heading into halftime.
East Stroudsburg (12-3,8-2) found momentum in the second half, going on a 4-0 run heading into the fourth quarter. The Raiders had no answer in the final frame.
Pioli led Shippensburg with three goals, two assists, and a career-high eight draw controls.

Shippensburg returns to Robb Sports Complex next Saturday at 1 p.m. to face Bloomsburg for its final game of the regular season.
