RECAP: Lacrosse falls at Millersville, 19-12

SU scores season-high 12 goals; Seasock nets hat trick

The Shippensburg University lacrosse team fell short at Millersville on Saturday afternoon, 19-12, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division contest at Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium.
 
Shippensburg (1-7, 0-4 PSAC East) scored 10 of its season-high 12 goals in the second half – outscoring Millersville (5-3, 2-1) by a 10-8 margin after halftime.
 
The Marauders were in control on the offensive end, finding the back of the net 11 times in the first half. Millersville was led by Liv Genovese and Rachel Keeney, who combined for 11 goals. 
 
Senior Abby Seasock led the Raiders with a hat trick – the first of her collegiate career. She also added a team-high four groundballs and an assist. 
 
Graduate Hannah Seifried and sophomore Sara Vosburg both scored two goals. Vosburg also secured two groundballs and led the Raiders with seven draw controls.
 
Graduate Addie Kalama and freshman Ali Pioli each added a goal and two groundballs.
 
Sophomore Jill Hopkins and freshman Shannon Wood each contributed a goal. Freshman Grace Larrimore scored her first collegiate goal in the match. 
 
Sophomore Kayla Vosburg ended the game with seven saves.
 
Shippensburg is back in action Wednesday as it heads to IUP at 4 p.m.
