RECAP: Lacrosse falls in road match against Shepherd, 16-6

SU had six players score in the contest

The Shippensburg University lacrosse team could not contain Shepherd in the second half as it fell, 16-6, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup Tuesday evening.
 
Shippensburg (1-6, 0-3 PSAC East) hung with Shepherd (5-4, 1-2) in the first two quarters, only trailing by three heading into halftime. In the final stretch, the Raiders had no answer for the Rams' momentum. 
 
SU had six players find the back of the net. 
 
Graduate Addie Kalama and senior Abby Seasock each netted a goal.
 
Sophomore Sara Vosburg scored one goal and had a team high two assists. 
 
Junior Emily Fenwick and freshman Alyssa Krueger both earned one goal and a draw control.
 
Graduate Hannah Seifried led the team in draw controls with four and added a goal. Senior Julianne Capozzoli totaled three ground balls.
 
Sophomore goalkeeper Kayla Vosburg finished with 10 saves.
 
Shepherd had four different players earn four goals: Kaiya Edwards, Holly Poe, and Sam Lassahn. Paige Stoner led with eight draw controls.
 
Shippensburg is back on the road Saturday to take on Millersville at noon.
