SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University lacrosse team came up short against No. 3 West Chester, 17-4, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division contest Saturday afternoon at Robb Sports Complex.

Shippensburg (1-5,0-2 PSAC East) took a 1-0 lead early in the first quarter, but West Chester (6-0,2-0) quickly responded, and found heavy momentum the remainder of the game.

Jamie Carvin led the Raiders with two goals. Graduate
Addie Kalama and sophomore
Jill Hopkins each added a goal.

Emily Fenwick had a team-high two assists. Freshman
Ali Pioli also added an assist.

Annie Rathgeb and Pioli each had two draw controls and two groundballs.

Sophomore goalkeeper
Kayla Vosburg recorded 13 saves for SU.

West Chester was led by Hannah Stanislawczyk, who recorded four goals, five draw controls and two groundballs.
