SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University volleyball team will host Lock Haven at 7 p.m. Tuesday for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Quarterfinal at Heiges Field House.

Shippensburg (22-8), the 2023 PSAC Eastern Division Champions, will be facing Lock Haven (11-12) for the third time this season. The Raiders won both matchups in four sets, with the Bald Eagles claiming the second set by two points in each meeting.

The winner of Tuesday's quarterfinal will advance to face the winner of Western Division No. 2 seed Clarion and Western Division No. 3 seed IUP in a Friday night semifinal.

If the Raiders are victorious Tuesday, they will host the semifinals and the PSAC Championships match this weekend at Heiges Field House.

Shippensburg is in the PSAC Tournament for the 16th time in 19 seasons under head coach Leanne Piscotty. The Raiders lost at home in last season's PSAC Quarterfinals in straight sets to East Stroudsburg. SU is seeking to reach the conference semifinals for the first time since 2019.

Lock Haven has posted a 10-win improvement this season under the direction of first-year head coach Mike Kraft. The Bald Eagles went 1-24 last season but have turned it around in 2023 to the tune of 11 victories, including five in Eastern Division play. It is LHU's first PSAC Tournament appearance in eight years.

Tuesday marks the first PSAC Tournament matchup between Shippensburg and Lock Haven since the 2014 quarterfinals, an upset victory in straight sets by the Raiders at Thomas Fieldhouse.
