The Shippensburg University men's soccer team settled for a 1–1 draw against Shepherd on Wednesday afternoon in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match at the Shepherd Soccer Complex.
Both sides fired away 14 shots a piece with Shippensburg (4–7–3, 1–7–2 PSAC East) putting six on goal and Shepherd (2–10–3, 1–8–2) taking five on target.
Senior Avery Warrick's 57th-minute header from junior Victor Vottero's free-kick delivery gave the Raiders the first breakthrough in the match. Andrew West equalized for Shepherd in the 79th minute from a Sterling Harris assist.
Senior Cody Willoughby made an 89th-minute save to keep the match even at 1–1. Willoughby finished the match with four saves.
Shippensburg plays in its final road match of the season on Saturday at 7 p.m. as the Raiders take on East Stroudsburg.
