SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's soccer team lost to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern division leaders Kutztown, 2-0, on a rainy Senior Day Saturday afternoon at David See Field.
Shippensburg (1-11-0, 1-9-0 PSAC East) mustered two shots on goal and two corner kicks throughout the rain-soaked match. Senior goalkeeper
Kendra Barlow tallied two saves in the game.
Kutztown (10-0-3, 9-0-2) scored two goals within eight minutes of gameplay, one in each half. Caroline McDonald fielded a corner kick from Katelyn Economopoulos, tapping the ball into the bottom left corner of the goal in the 42nd minute. A Lexy Endres goal in the 50th minute extended Kutztown's lead and strong defense held the Raiders scoreless.
The Golden Bears extended their shutout streak to seven consecutive matches.
