RECAP: Men’s Soccer draws at reigning PSAC Champion Millersville, 1-1

Seth Crabbe scores late to force a tie

The Shippensburg University men's soccer team rallied late in Millersville to earn a point against the reigning PSAC Champions.

Shippensburg (2-1-1, 0-1-1 PSAC East) and Millersville (3-1-2, 1-0-1) were scoreless for much of the first half until a shot from forward Richy Valverde deflected off sophomore defenseman Nathan Weldon and over sophomore goalkeeper Cody Willoughby who dove to save the initial shot.

The score remained 1-0 until an 80th-minute corner when sophomore midfielder Abdulrahman Obasa fired in a bouncing shot that was cleared to senior forward Harry Kershaw who crossed it to junior forward Seth Crabbe for a header into the bottom left corner.

The Raiders earned their first conference standings point with the draw.

Shippensburg was outshot 18-6 overall, with shots on goal being 6-3 in favor of the Marauders. Millersville finished with a 9-4 advantage in corner kicks over the Raiders.

SU returns to David See Field at 4:30 p.m on Saturday as they face East Stroudsburg.
