SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- The Shippensburg University lacrosse team came up short against No. 7 West Chester on a sunny Saturday afternoon at Robb Sports Complex, losing 21-9 to the Golden Rams in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match on 'Rise For Wise' Day.

Saturday's game was played in honor of the late Julia Wise '17, a former lacrosse captain who battled metastatic Stage 4 breast cancer for four years. The team collected donations toward METAvivor, a national organization for metastatic breast cancer research, support and awareness. You can visit metavivor.org and click donate to support the cause. Members of Julia's family were present at the game.

Shippensburg will host Shepherd at 4 p.m. Wednesday for a divisional clash at Robb Sports Complex.
