BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's tennis team concluded its regular season on Saturday with a loss at Bloomsburg, 6-1, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match at Burt Reese Tennis Center.

Shippensburg (3-13, 2-5 PSAC East) collected one win from freshman
Brooklynn Rupert at No. 6 singles in straight sets. Each Raider won at least one game in their respective singles matches.

At No. 1 doubles, senior
Jenna Sluymer and sophomore
Merel Hoekstra fought hard to come back from 5-2 down, but dropped the match 6-4. The freshman pair of Rupert and freshman
Kendall Winters in No. 2 doubles was unable to take charge of their points and lost 6-3. At No. 3 doubles, senior
Cally Papoutsis and junior
Sahar Islam came back from 3-0 down but dropped their match 6-4.

In singles, Sluymer and fellow senior
Kayla Tryanski collected four games each at No. 1 and No. 5 singles respectively in their last matches as a Raider. Winters collected five games at No. 3 singles, while Hoekstra and fellow sophomore
Brighid Cantwell collected a game each at both No. 4 and No. 2 singles.

Papoutsis and Islam both had a singles exhibition match. Papoutsis dropped her match 6-3, 6-3, while Islam dropped her match 6-1, 7-6.

Bloomsburg (8-9, 5-2) won the doubles points and won No. 1 through No. 5 singles.
