The Shippensburg University lacrosse team could not overcome a hot start by host IUP on Wednesday, losing 15-7 to the Crimson Hawks in a non-conference match on a sunny afternoon at Miller Stadium.

Shippensburg (2-7) scored the opening goal, but IUP (7-2) countered with seven consecutive goals and 10 of the next 11 overall. The Crimson Hawks led 10-3 at halftime.
