The Shippensburg University softball team concluded its week in Florida with a 4-0 shutout over West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday.
 
Shippensburg (8-4) received a shutout in the circle from freshman Alicia Ball, who allowed just five singles, walked two and struck out seven in the complete game.
 
The Raiders held a 2-0 lead entering the bottom of the sixth when freshman Katelyn Minney hit a two-run homer to extend the lead to 4-0. Minney and freshman Morgan Brumbaugh each had two hits in the game.
 
Shippensburg's scheduled game with Ashland was canceled due to inclement weather.
 
The Raiders will head home from Florida on a five-game winning streak. SU posted a 6-2 record overall in Florida.
 
Shippensburg had three road doubleheaders scheduled for the coming week, beginning with a Wednesday twinbill at Chestnut Hill.
