SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University men's basketball team won 79-59 against Kutztown in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match-up on Saturday at Heiges Field House.
Shippensburg (19-8, 16-6 PSAC) held Kutztown (9-19, 6-16) to 39-percent shooting, including 18-percent shooting from three-point range, and out-scored the Golden Bears 19-9 in points off turnovers. Saturday marked the sixth time this season that SU has held a team below 60 points. Eleven different Raiders played in the contest.

Kiyon Hardy and
Jake Biss were honored pregame in the Senior Day ceremony. Diabate made the first start of his career and grabbed five rebounds and dished out one assist in 17 minutes of play. He also threw down a slam dunk in the second half.
Biss shot 4-of-9 from the floor, including 3-of-7 from three-point range, and was a perfect 10-of-10 from the free-throw line. Biss put up 21 points, four assists, two rebounds and a steal. In the contest, Biss passed Matt Markle and Abe Massaley to move into 10th all-time in career points at Shippensburg. Biss also passed Markle for fourth all-time in career three-pointers.
Hardy shot 7-of-12 from the field for 17 points, two assists, two rebounds and two steals. Redshirt-junior
Dom Sleva shot 5-of-10 from the floor, including 3-of-5 from three-point range and dropped 13 points, seven rebounds, and one steal.

Rashon Johnson stuffed the box score with 11 points, five rebounds, six assists, and two steals while shooting 4-of-9 from the field.

Carlos Carter shot 4-of-11 from the floor while contributing 10 points, four rebounds, two assists, a block, and a steal.
Kutztown got 12 points, two rebounds and two steals from Wesley Butler. Channick Nkoma dropped a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double on 5-of-9 shooting and had one block. Robert Tucker had a near double-double with 10 points, nine rebounds, three blocks and a steal.
Shippensburg, the PSAC Eastern Division No. 3 seed, will host East No. 6 seed Lock Haven at 7:30 p.m. Monday in a PSAC First Round contest at Heiges Field House.
