SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University men's soccer team dropped a tough contest against the reigning PSAC Champion Millersville on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Marauders 4-1 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match at David See Field.
Shippensburg (3-5-2, 0-5-2 PSAC East) fell behind early when Aaron Maynard put Millersville (6-3-4, 3-2-3) on the board in the second minute.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Cody Willoughby stopped the Marauders on a penalty kick in the ninth minute but suffered an injury which ultimately led to him leaving the contest. Sophomore defender

The Raiders tied the game in the 30th minute when sophomore forward
Omario Duncan finished a cross in the box from senior forward
Harry Kershaw for his third goal in two games.
SU couldn't contain Millersville in the second half as the Marauders netted three goals from Spencer Shortt, Bob Hennessey, and Matthew Lynch.
Willoughby made two saves before leaving the match due to injury, while Warrick made four saves in relief.
Millersville held a 10-4 advantage in shots on goal, while also finishing with an 8-3 advantage in corner kicks.
SU returns to the pitch at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday when they host California (Pa.) for a non-conference match.
