SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University senior Oyinda Agbale was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Volleyball Defensive Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon by the league office after a 1-1 week for the Raiders that included a sweep over West Chester.
In a 1-1 weekend, Agbale totaled 23 kills, a .396 hit percentage and six blocks.
Against Millersville, Agbale had a team high of 14 kills with one error, giving her a .464 hit percentage. Also, she added four blocks, one solo and three blocks' assists, and three digs.
During the sweep against West Chester, Agbale totaled nine kills, a .300 hit percentage, two digs and two blocks.
Overall Agbale has improved her kills per set and her hitting percentage and is now leading the Raiders in hitting % with a .321 average and is fourth in the league.
It is the second PSAC weekly award of Agbale's career and the third consecutive week this season that a Raider has received a PSAC weekly award since October 1 through 15, 2019 (Gianna Sigado, Emily Hangen, and Gabriella Johnson).
