SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg men's soccer team fought to the finish with Lock Haven on Saturday afternoon but neither squad could find the back of the net, playing to a 0-0 tie in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup on Senior Day at David See Field.

Shippensburg (4-6-4, 0-6-4 PSAC East) had only one shot on goal the entire match. The closest the Raiders came to a goal was at the 62:32 mark when junior Seth Crabbe had a shot go off the left of the post.

The Raiders frequently held eight to nine players back on the defensive end to keep pressure on the Bald Eagle offense. Lock Haven (5-7-5, 3-4-4) had eight shots on goal.

Freshman goalkeeper Matt Riley had a terrific afternoon, coming up with eight crucial saves – a season high.

This is the first shutout in a conference match for Shippensburg since the final game of the 2018 season and the first conference shutout at home since the final game of the 2017 season; with both matches being against Slippery Rock.

Shippensburg returns to David See Field for its final home match of the season at 7 p.m. Wednesday against Bloomsburg.
