The Shippensburg University men's soccer fell in a 5-1 decision at West Chester on Wednesday afternoon in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup at John A. Rockwell Field.
Shippensburg (4-6-3, 0-6-3 PSAC East) fell behind in the 12th minute off a goal from Phil Udo-Inyang. West Chester (8-4-2, 5-2-2) potted three more goals in the first half from Frankie Taylor, Andrew Markopoulos, and Craig Potts.
The Rams opened the second half scoring in the 64th minute with a goal from Shane Hartey.
SU got on the board in the 68th minute when junior forward
Seth Crabbe (Kent, England/Wrotham School) scored with a diving header off a cross from senior forward
Harry Kershaw (Wardle, England/Wardle Academy).
Freshman goalkeeper
Matt Riley (Mount Airy, Md./Urbana) made four saves in the contest.
West Chester finished the match with a 19-8 advantage in shots and an 11-4 advantage in shots on goal.
The Raiders return to action at 2 p.m. on Saturday against Lock Haven at David See Field for Senior Day.
