The Shippensburg University men's soccer team played the Shepherd Rams to a 1-1 draw on Saturday in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup at
Shepherd Soccer Complex.
 
Shippensburg (4-5-3, 0-5-3 PSAC East) fell behind in the 25th minute after Shepherd (1-8-6, 0-6-3) forward Steven Choque found the back of the net.
 
The Raiders trailed until the 86th minute when sophomore midfielder Victor Vottero scored on penalty kick.
 
Freshman goalkeeper Matt Riley made two saves in the contest.
 
Shippensburg finished the match with a 12-10 disadvantage in shots while the Raiders led the match in shots in goal, 4-3.
 
The match featured a combined nine yellow cards and one red card.
 
SU returns to the pitch at 2 p.m. Wednesday as it travels to West Chester.
