The Shippensburg University women's soccer team opened Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division play on Wednesday afternoon with a 2-0 victory over Shepherd at the Shepherd Soccer Complex.
Shippensburg (1-2-0, 1-0-0 PSAC East) scored both their goals in the first half. The first was by sophomore
Abbi Czarnecki in the 21st minute, marking her first collegiate tally.

K.K. O'Donnell (Limerick, Pa./Spring-Ford) converted a pass from senior
Allie Christman to make it 2-0.
Shepherd (1-1-0, 0-1-0) fired six shots on goal, but all were saved by sophomore goalkeeper
Kendra Barlow, who recorded the first shutout of her collegiate career.
Shippensburg will play its first home match at 2 p.m. Saturday when it hosts Lock Haven at David See Field.
