SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's soccer team tied Lock Haven, 1-1, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match at David See Field.
Shippensburg (1-2-1, 0-0-1 PSAC East) tied the match in the 73rd minute on junior
Alyse Caffrey's first career goal. Caffrey's goal was a header off a deflection from a free kick by junior
Emma Oberholtzer.
Lock Haven (2-0-1, 0-0-1) scored first off Hunter McClellan's goal in the 26th minute, which was assisted by Josie Swartz.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Kendra Barlow made several key stops and posted a career-high 12 saves.
It is the first time in 25 career matchups with Lock Haven that the two teams have played to a tie score.
Shippensburg will see action again at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bloomsburg at Steph Pettit Stadium.
