The Shippensburg University men's soccer team lost at Bloomsburg on Thursday, 3-0, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match at Steph Pettit Stadium.
Shippensburg (0-1-2, 0-1-0 PSAC East) equaled Bloomsburg (5-0-0, 1-0-0 PSAC East) in total shots, 7-7, but only managed two shots on goal and yielded three goals to the Huskies. Freshman
Cody Willoughby made one save for the Raiders.
SU's best chance to score came in the 61st minute, as the Raiders were awarded a penalty kick, but senior
Rene Quintanilla's shot was denied by BU keeper Nathan Slotnick.
Bloomsburg, who is receiving votes from the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Top 25 Poll, continued its successful season with goals from Mackenzie Fairs, Alex Wilsterman and Anthony Schlee.
Thursday's match was rescheduled from Wednesday night, as an ominous forecast and subsequent inclement weather resulted in a postponement.
The Raiders will look to bounce back against No. 12 Millersville at 7 p.m. Saturday at Pucillo Field.
