SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University lacrosse team hung tight with No. 12 East Stroudsburg for much of the first half Saturday but could not stave off the Warriors, dropping a 13-4 decision in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup at Robb Sports Complex.

Shippensburg (1-6, 1-5 PSAC East) got two goals each from
Alana Cardaci and
Hannah Seifried, while
Gabby Savarino had three caused turnovers and three draw controls.

The Raiders also received strong goaltending, as
KiKi Brasher and
Ally Weneta combined to make 17 saves. Brasher made eight saves in the first half, including three in the final three minutes of the frame, while Weneta had nine saves in the second half.

McKenna Keller was a steady defensive presence with two caused turnovers and a team-high four groundballs.
Jessica DeMarte had two groundballs, two draw controls and an assist on Cardaci's opening goal.
Abby Seasock had an assist.

East Stroudsburg (6-1, 5-1) used a 6-0 run over the final 11:34 of the first half to extend a 4-3 lead into a 10-3 halftime advantage. Hana Cicerelle led all players with six points, scoring four goals and contributing two assists. All-American goalkeeper Tatyana Petteway made nine saves.
