The Shippensburg University lacrosse team dropped a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup on Saturday at No. 5 West Chester, 16-8, at Vonnie Gros Field.

Shippensburg (2-7, 2-6 PSAC East) yielded eight straight goals to West Chester (7-0, 7-0) over the final 16 minutes of the first half that resulted in an insurmountable deficit. The Raiders outscored the Golden Rams in the second half, 6-3.

Alana Cardaci posted her fourth hat trick of the season and the 21st of her career, moving her into seventh place on the SU career goals list (116 goals).
Hannah Seifried was credited with two goals and an assist.

Five Raiders found the back of the net, as

Bailey Krahl and
Addie Kalama scored goals.

Kasey Schuchardt and
Kayla Jones each recorded multiple draw controls. Jones and Krahl each had two groundballs.

Ally Weneta made 13 saves and had two groundballs. Weneta has recorded double-digit saves in four matches this season.
