The Shippensburg University lacrosse team came up short on Tuesday at Bloomsburg, dropping a 17-7 decision to the Huskies in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup at Steph Pettit Stadium.

Shippensburg (0-5, 0-5 PSAC East) got two goals each from
Hannah Seifried and
Alana Cardaci.
Kasey Schuchardt,
Jessica DeMarte and
Gabby Savarino also found the back of the net for the Raiders, with Schuchardt's tally being the first of her career. Sophomore
Sydney Costanza had an assist.

The Raiders again had success in the circle, posting a 13-11 advantage in draw controls. Seifried led the Raiders with four, while Schuchardt added three.

Shippensburg was credited with seven caused turnovers – three by
McKenna Keller, two by Savarino and two by
Clairanne Chairs. Keller also had three groundballs.

Ally Weneta got the start in goal and made seven saves in 42 minutes of action.
KiKi Brasher worked the final 17 minutes, making four saves and collecting two groundballs.

Bloomsburg (3-1, 3-1) used a 4-0 run and a 5-0 run to establish a 9-1 lead with 12 minutes left in the first half. The Huskies got four goals from Abby Bergman and three from Amanda Stoll. BU had 16 caused turnovers in the match. Â
