SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- The Shippensburg University men's soccer team won 2-1 on Saturday against Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division opponent Slippery Rock in a non-conference match at David See Field.
Shippensburg (4-3-3) scored two goals in the first half to take the lead. In the 17th minute, senior
Owen Iacobelli scored a goal off a pass from junior
Patrick Joyner. Later in the 30th minute. senior
Cory Ferguson sent a cross that was headed in by senior
Harry Kershaw.
Slippery Rock's (4-4-2) lone goal was in the 42nd minute when Alejandro Fernandez sent a striking ball on goal that was headed in by Arturo Pla Hernandis.

Ryan Glenlast made two saves in the win. The teams combined for just eight shots on goal and five corners.
Shippensburg will end its homestand at 7 p.m. Wednesday against Eastern Division opponent Bloomsburg at David See Field.
