The Shippensburg University men's soccer team was shut out for just the second time this season on Saturday, falling 4-0 at Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Chester.
Shippensburg (4-9-3, 2-9-0 PSAC East) managed just three shots on goal. Freshman goalkeeper
Ryan Glenlast made six saves in 79 minutes of action, while freshman
Cody Willoughby worked the final 11 minutes in goal.
West Chester (9-2-2, 8-2-1) scored in the seventh minute when Doug Goitia converted off a Josh Daniels assist. Then, Kresstoph Whittick finished a Tomas Hanvey pass for a 2-0 first half lead.
Playing a man up in the second half, Craig Potts increased the lead off Hanvey's second assist of the match. The final goal was a penalty kick in the 83rd minute on Connor Sullivan's first collegiate goal.
Shippensburg will host Lock Haven at 6 p.m Saturday for Senior Day at David See Field.
