The Shippensburg University wrestling team went on the road Friday night, dropping a 38-3 decision to No. 7-ranked Pittsburgh-Johnstown in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Division II dual meet from Sports Center.
 
Junior Derek Berberick was the lone Raider victor on the night, scoring a 5-2 decision at heavyweight. Berberick defended a third-period shot from his opponent Tyler Oliver and maneuvered it into a takedown to clinch his team-leading 10th victory of the season.
 
Berberick, currently ranked third at heavyweight in Super Region 1, is now 10-5 overall, including 8-2 in dual meets. He has won all four of his bouts this season in PSAC Division II dual meets.
 
The closest decision of the night came at 157 pounds, where freshman Drake Brenize fell 7-4 to Corey Falleroni – the No. 3-ranked wrestler in Super Region 1. Brenize achieved a second-period takedown and held a 4-3 lead through two periods against Falleroni.
