RECAP: Men’s Soccer Cannot Solve No. 14 West Chester, Falls 3-0

Raiders kept off scoresheet; Brickman makes four saves

The Shippensburg University men's soccer team could not solve No. 14-ranked West Chester on Saturday, dropping a 3-0 decision to the Golden Rams on a sunny, seasonal afternoon from Rockwell Field.

Shippensburg (1-4-2, 1-3-1 PSAC East) managed just two shots against the reigning national runners-up in West Chester (7-1-1, 4-0-1), as the Golden Rams held the Raiders without a shot in the second half. SU's lone shot on goal was credited to freshman Seth Crabbe.

Senior Bradley Brickman made four saves in the loss.

The Golden Rams held a 1-0 lead at halftime on a 24th-minute goal by Doug Goitia – shots were just 4-2 in WCU's favor at the intermission.

Shippensburg returns to action next Saturday with a non-conference matchup at Slippery Rock.
