The Shippensburg University men's soccer team could not solve No. 14-ranked West Chester on Saturday, dropping a 3-0 decision to the Golden Rams on a sunny, seasonal afternoon from Rockwell Field.
Shippensburg (1-4-2, 1-3-1 PSAC East) managed just two shots against the reigning national runners-up in West Chester (7-1-1, 4-0-1), as the Golden Rams held the Raiders without a shot in the second half. SU's lone shot on goal was credited to freshman

The Golden Rams held a 1-0 lead at halftime on a 24th-minute goal by Doug Goitia – shots were just 4-2 in WCU's favor at the intermission.
Shippensburg returns to action next Saturday with a non-conference matchup at Slippery Rock.
