SU drops 7-1 decision to Warriors in divisional match

The Shippensburg University men's soccer team dropped a 7-1 decision to host East Stroudsburg on Wednesday in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup from Eiler-Martin Stadium.

Shippensburg (2-8-3, 2-7-1 PSAC East) yielded two goals in the first 11 minutes and did not recover from the early deficit. SU's lone goal came on a fortuitous moment in the 56th minute for sophomore Cory Ferguson, who deposited a loose ball into the open cage for his third goal of the season.

East Stroudsburg (9-3-3, 5-3-1) scored three times in the first half and four more times in the second half. The Warriors finished with a 13-3 advantage in shots on goal and an 11-5 edge in corner kicks.

Senior Bradley Brickman made six saves for the Raiders.

Shippensburg will honor Brickman, Alejandro Fernandez, Joey Gallucci and Colin Marks for Senior Day at 2 p.m. Saturday for the home finale from David See Field.
