SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The No. 8-ranked Shippensburg University field hockey team defeated visiting Seton Hill on Tuesday, 5-0, in a rain-soaked Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup from Robb Sports Complex.

Shippensburg (9-5, 6-2 PSAC) got a goal less than two minutes in from junior
Jazmin Petrantonio – one of three scored in the first quarter by the Raiders. Petrantonio finished with a pair of goals, bringing her season total to 21. She tipped in a centering pass by junior
Sarah Womer with 1:14 left in the first half to round out the scoring.

Valen Alonso and
Jenna Sluymer each scored goals on reverse hits – with Sluymer also assisting Alonso's goal.

Megan Green scored her first goal of the season with a goal off a corner, firing home the entry from senior
Rosalia Cappadora.

The Raiders finished with a 27-4 advantage in shots on goal and a 13-5 edge in corners.

Redshirt-freshman goalkeeper
Meg Thompson earned her first collegiate minutes in goal, making four saves in the second half. Redshirt-sophomore
Megan Lay patrolled the cage for the first 38 minutes.

Shippensburg will hold Senior Day on Saturday in advance of its final regular-season home game, which is set to begin at noon against IUP.
